George Clark writes: … Shortly before noon today N5254J was shot at while on base leg at Airnav:KGDM. The student pilot and an instructor heard a pop and saw fuel draining from the left wing. After landing at GDM, it appears as though a bullet punctured the left wing and tank causing the fuel to drain from the low point in the wing.

The light at the end of the tunnel is another airplanes landing light coming down head-on to the runway you are taking off from. --Robert Livingston, 'Flying The Aeronca.'
