Runway Safety at Worcester
Some recent events have raised concerns at Worcester. Andy Davis, Airport Manager reports:

Andy Davis, Worcester Airport Manager, reports some concerning recent events at Worcester, including:
  • Failing to hold, resulting in runway incursion
  • Taxiing on vehicle road marked with X
  • Landing without clearance.

We are working on trying to incorporate these into a safety seminar possibly for June. Read more for details on the incidents.

George Clark writes: … Shortly before noon today N5254J was shot at while on base leg at Airnav:KGDM. The student pilot and an instructor heard a pop and saw fuel draining from the left wing. After landing at GDM, it appears as though a bullet punctured the left wing and tank causing the fuel to drain from the low point in the wing.

I don't like flying because I'm afraid of crashing into a large mountain. I don't think Dramamine is going to help. --Kaffie, in the 1992 movie 'A Few Good Men.'
