Dear ASN Volunteers,

Biddeford (ME) Municipal Airport, under threat of a closure referendum this fall, will host it's first Open House this Saturday, August 30.

Special Note: Fuel price for fly-in pilots (this Saturday only) has been discounted to $4.95 per gallon (100LL).

The event, hosted by the Friends of Biddeford Airport, EAA Chapter 1210, and Cumberland & York Aviation, promises to be an inexpensive, fun day for all who attend. Portions of sponsor donations will benefit Angel Flight Northeast, an organization of volunteer pilots who fly sick children-at no cost to them-from Maine to points in Massachusetts and beyond for their medical evaluations and treatments.

Some of the day-long events include: helicopter and biplane rides; a Biddeford Fire Department Response Team demonstration; lots of airplanes to see; an aerial banner towing demonstration; a real Army tank; a 195th U.S. Army Band concert; great food; raffles and prizes; and many more aviation-related displays.

Please try to drop by for gas and a burger to help keep B19 open for future generations of aviators.
