Updates: Jaffrey, Simsbury, Gardner, and September Seminar Schedule

We've gotten word on a few things worth pointing out:

• Jaffrey Airport will be closed August 17 thru August 21 August 19th is the Annual Fireworks Festival put on by Atlas PyroVision Production.
• Gardner Airport will be holding a BBQ fly-in. Still working on details.
• Simsbury Airport is holding its annual fly-in on Sunday Sept. 24 and is looking for volunteers.
• Pete Lindberg wrote in with the September FAA Safety Seminar schedule. MS Word and Adobe PDF versions are attached here.

Walk-ins: $8 (10 years & under free) General Admission Car: $40 Save when you purchase tickets in advance - now through August 18th - available at Jaffree Chamber of Commerce, and Jaffrey branches of TD Banknorth and Ocean National Bank.

Simsbury request for help

This year’s Simsbury Airport (4B9) FLY-IN on Sunday Sept 24th promises to be our best ever, but we can’t do it without you!

Each year we’ve expanded our activities, improved the food service, and brought in more airplanes. Attendance has risen to an estimated 7-8,000 airplane lovers, making the event the biggest of its kind in New England!

Will you help us this year? Volunteers are needed to help man the food booths, greet guests and hand out programs, park cars and direct the aircraft. You’ll enjoy a wonderful fall day in Simsbury and be part of a unique aviation event. We need volunteers for 4, 6 or 8 hour shifts.
