Adding a Glider Rating

George Clark writes: ... The September 6th meeting will be a presentation by a CFI - Glider from the GBSC - Greater Boston Soaring Club on adding a Glider Rating to your ticket. The second part of the presentation is going to be an illustrated chat session with Q&A regarding the fun and experiences of flying local cross country purely for fun. We are working with GBSC at Sterling Airport to run an afternoon and evening of introductory glider rides, sometime late in September. Cost TBD, and priority will be given to WAPA members.

The meeting starts off at 6pm with a cookout in front of the ORH Terminal building. We'll have hot-dogs, hamburgs and soft drinks available ahead of the formal meeting. We had a similar event at the July 12th meeting that was very well received.
