TFR Tomorrow, January 31st affecting NYC area

George Clark writes: ... AOPA is reporting that a TFR will be up around NY City tomorrow (Wednesday) for President Bush's planned visit. The AOPA information on the TFR is found at http://www.aopa.org/whatsnew/notams.html#7/2135 The AOPA site has a complete list of effected airports. Or you can find the official notice at the FAA web at http://tfr.faa.gov/save_pages/detail_7_2049.html This TFR appears to be a bit less restrictive, in that some operation within the Class B airspace appears to be permitted, but be sure to check with FSS for last minute changes. And once airborne, it is best to check again as you get close, as last minute changes are known to happen.

Update: The AOPA site has the TFR changed from 7/2049 to 7/2135, however it seems to have been removed from the index on the FAA site. With this discrepancy, it may be best to check first-hand with a phone call!

Real planes use only a single stick to fly. This is why bulldozers & helicopters -- in that order -- need two. --Paul Slattery
