For those following the battle over repeal of the aviation sales tax exemption….I received an email today from Sen. Ed Augustus with the following good news for aviation in this state:

Dear Mr. Libbey,

A few months ago you contacted my office regarding the repeal of the sales tax exemption on aircraft sales and maintenance. I wanted to share with you the good news that the final tax bill came out of the conference committee without the repeal, so the sales tax exemption will remain at airports and airfields throughout the Commonwealth.
