Schenectady Trip Report
George Clark writes: …
SteveF and Dewey wrote in with a bit of a trip report. Sounds like it was a good time. Hopefully we'll get some pictures to put up as well.
SteveF writes: _The trip was a success in that we had a Cherokee from Fitchburg, a Skylane
from Sterling, a Cheetah from Hyannis, my Cessna 170 and a Skyhawk from
Spencer. It was a large enough group of congenial and brave souls that I
will start to work on another trip. There were some good suggestions from
the group that will be taken into consideration._
And Dewey adds:
I just wanted to thank Steve Fogarty for organizing the Schenectady flyout.
_I went with a friend from the Cape who picked me up at ORH and we went
out at 6500 against a 34kt or so headwind, experiencing some light
turbulence below 4000 and a very smooth ride above. While I probably
wouldn't have enjoyed that much pattern work, it was an
excellent day
for a cross-country._
_We arrived while they were still serving, had a good breakfast and
wondered around their modestly sized though good museum. They were
carving a path through the snow past the outside static displays as
well, so we went down that path as well._
_The return flight was at 7500 with a 38kt direct tailwind (178kt ground
speed at times!)._
_Many thanks to Steve for the work he put into that -- it's too bad so
many had their airplanes frozen to the ground._
