Who is Vern Raburn?

He is a successful entrepreneur who has helped to shape the course of the information technology revolution. He joined Bill Gates as one of the first employees at Microsoft Corporation where he was responsible for their entry into the retail channel. Included among his numerous successes at various corporations is the successful launch of Lotus 1-2-3 at Lotus Development Corporation. Prior to founding Eclipse, Vern worked as president of the Paul Allen Group overseeing high technology inventions for Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. He learned to fly as a teenager, has accumulated over 6,500 hours of flight time and holds type ratings in more than 15 aircraft types. He owns and flies several vintage aircraft including a Lockheed Constellation and a Douglas A-26 Invader.

What is Eclipse Aviation?

Eclipse is creating a six-place twin-turbofan aircraft that cost a fraction of the least expensive jets on the market today. The Eclipse 500 will revolutionize how people fly. Eclipse Aviation's Directors include leaders from the aviation, aircraft and computer industries. Whereas America's antiquated commercial aviation industry is in crisis, the Eclipse vision is to create a safe, fast and efficient mode of air transportation travel that can offer "point to point" travel. Although there are thousands of airports that can be used by the new Eclipse 500, the aviation industry of today is focused on 31 large airport hubs which create a severely overstressed system. Today's travelers are demanding the ability to move directly from one city to another on an on-demand basis.

This new aircraft is a technological marvel. It is a six-place twinjet that is low cost, inexpensive to operate and one that will redefine the personal transportation system in the 21st Century. Visit their website at http://www.EclipseAviation.com
