WAPA Year End 2003

WAPA had a great 2003. We flew 45 new Young Eagles at 3 events. Safety Seminars were well attended and we've increased the schedule for 2004. Membership is at 68 and continues to slowly increase.

We now need to look forward to 2004, and need Everyone's Help!.

There were a number of great ideas put forward at the September and November meetings. You can read more in the MeetingMinutes. With everyone's assistance we can move forward on these items.

  • Winter Party: We decided to have a Winter Party on Saturday January 31st. We need help getting this organized. Volunteer or comment at feedback@worcesterapa.org. (We still don't have anyone organizing the event, so please help out.)

  • Young Eagles 2004 We have 4 events scheduled. We need help organizing them. Join the outreach team and then Volunteer

  • Flea Market or Plane Wash: Southbridge volunteered their facilities for either of these events. I'm sure that Worcester would like the Flea Market as well. We need help to put this together for the warmer months. Join the activities team and then volunteer.

  • Picnic and Poker Run Southbridge also volunteered their facilities for our annual picnic. Larry Pray volunteered to lead the effort, but we'll need lots more help.

  • Ongoing Meetings and Social Events: If you can help organize a WAPA meeting, bring food to a pot-luck, or help with ongoing activities, please or volunteer on unicom@worcesterapa.org

There were a lot more suggestions as well. As the worst of winter is ahead, now is the time to start planning some activities. So Please Help

And as always, one of the primary goals of WAPA is to bring together Pilots in the greater Worcester area. WAPA members can always find other WAPA members by sending e-mail to: unicom@worcesterapa.org
