AOPA opens ASF Weekend Seminars to Non-Instructors

Larry Pray writes "The following notice looks interesting. Just thought you might want to consider putting it on the WAPA web page.

ASF OPENS WEEKEND SEMINARS TO NON-INSTRUCTORS The AOPA Air Safety Foundation is now offering its highly acclaimed two-day aviation education programs, formerly for flight instructors only, to all pilots holding at least a private pilot certificate. The non-CFI tuition of $99 is slightly more than half the standard tuition of $175 for preregistered CFIs and $185 for walk-in CFIs. "These clinics have always been an aviation education wonderland," said ASF Executive Director Bruce Landsberg. "But now any pilot can reap the benefits of the latest information about flying, airspace, regulations, and accident causes, presented by some of the top teachers in the nation. At $99 for non-CFIs, it's a bargain." Officially termed Flight Instructor Refresher Clinics (FIRCs), the intensive seminars have long been one of the most popular methods for flight instructors to keep up to date. The seminars also satisfy the ground instruction requirements of the FAA Wings program and the flight review. See AOPA Online
