New TFR in Kennebunkport, Statue of Liberty TFR cancelled!

George writes... A new TFR will be in effect October 4-6, while President Bush visits his family in Kennebunkport. 10 Mile no-fly zone from surface to 18,000 feet and a 30 mile zone where all aircraft must be on an IFR or VFR flight plan with transponder code, arrivals and departures only, and no flight training activity or practice approaches. This closes 2 airports, Biddeford (B19) and Goosefair, and impacts operations at 14 others. Diagram and the whole story courtesy of AOPA. This new 30 Mile TFR appears to follow the President around. Lets hope that he doesn't go sight seeing around here.

And on the good news front, the FAA has canceled the TFR around the Statue of Liberty. This reopens the NY VFR corridor, however things change quickly, so Check with FSS! Maybe WAPA should organize a flight down the corridor.
