By-laws

by Steve Foley on Wednesday March 20, 2002

In several places, the by-laws refer to licensed pilots. Pilots in the USA do not have a license, they have a certificate. Also, 4-B states board members must be licensed pilots or mechanics. I do not know how the upcoming sport pilot certificate will affect this. I don't believe the FAA will issue a sport pilot certificate, I think it only consists of a logbook sign-off. Verbage should be added or changed to address this.

Bylaws Updated

by George on Sunday April 07, 2002

I've updated the bylaws to include Steve Foley's suggested changes regarding Pilot License vs Pilot Certificate and also added a Sport Pilot Endorsement to the list of qualifications for Board Membership.

Any other suggestions, please speak up!

Thanks
